Tip 2: How to install the air line tube into air fitting and inflation valve
1. Insert the end of the Air Line Tube into the Air Fitting.
2. Push the Air Line Tube into the Air Fitting as far as possible.
3. Gently pull on the Air Line Tube to ensure a secure fit.
4. To remove and push down the collar and gently pull the Air Line Tube away.
Removal Tip: Use a 1/4", 5/16", or 6mm open-ended wrench to push the collar down.
Tip 3: Solutions For Air Leakage Problems
Step 1. Ensure that the installation method is correct
Leakage most often occurs at the threaded connection between the Air Fitting and the Air Spring. Tightenthe Air Fitting until the black O-ring contacts the Air Spring and add 1/2 turn.
Please note that the end of the Air Line Tube must be cut squarely and cleanly enough to avoid burrs occur ring in the connections of Air Fittings. The push-to-connect fittings require a square cut to properly seal. Make sure to exhaust all air from the system before releasing the Air Line Tube from the Air Fitting. Then remove the tube from the fitting, push the collar on the fitting into the fitting body, and pull out the tubing while holding the collar. Cut the tube as square as possible and push the tube into the fitting as far as possible.
Step 2. Checking the air system
(1) Place an air chuck onto the Inflation Valve and fill the system to 70 PSI.
(2) Spray fittings with soap and water mixture.
(3) Observe bubbles.
Step 3. Fixing an air leak
Press the air valve on end of Inflation Valve to release all air pressure.
Tip 4: Notes For Inflation Valve Kit
1. Before installing the inflation valve, ensure the valve core is tightened. During transportation, the valve core may become loose, causing the inflation valve to leak air during use.
2. If it is not tightened, use a 4-in-1 tire valve tool to tighten the valve core clockwise.
3. After long-term use, use a 4-in-1 tire valve tool to check and maintain the inflation valve.
Tip 5:INSTRUCTIONS FOR WRAPPING TEFLON TAPE
1. Clean the Threads: Before wrapping the TEFLON TAPE, make sure the threaded surface of Air Fitting is clean and free of oil or debris.
2. Wrapping Direction: Start wrapping the tape from the bottom of the thread, going in a clockwise direction and keeping the tape tensioned. This way, the tape won’t twist when tightening the connection (Make sure not to apply excessive force while wrapping, as this may damage the tape or compromise the sealing effect).
3. Number of Layers: Wrap 1 to 3 layers as needed, ensuring the entire threaded area is covered but not too thick, as this could affect the tightness of the connection.
4. Cut the Tape: After wrapping to the desired thickness, cut the tape and gently press it down with your fingers to ensure it adheres well to the threads.
5. Install the Air Fitting: Finally, tighten the Air Fitting to the Air Spring, ensuring a good seal. Torque to a maximum of 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm). Do not overtighten, as this may cause it to break.
