I feel it's more secure than the padlock I previously used.

It isn't as tight a fit into the hitch socket. But it isn't removable once it is locked on. Also the pad lock is a very good tight fit. However the pin lock makes it difficult to attach chains to mt Tacome. Hook the chains 1st then lock the pin.

This set has worked well. I use it on a 2.5 inch trailer hitch and it fit well. I use the ball lock and the hitch pin lock on my travel trailer while it is in storage. Will this stop someone determined to cut it off with tools and time, no, but it will make most thieves move along to an easier target. For the price it is a great theft deterrent.
